We’re here to grow the sport of running by making it more fun, more welcoming, and more social — connecting people one run at a time.
How Tuesdays with BRC work
-
When you arrive at Payette
You will see a group of people forming in front of the building a little before 6:30 on Tuesdays. That’s us!
As we approach 6:30, you should be ready to run for 30 minutes - that means shoes tied, warmed up, etc.
-
Orientation and Announcements
At 6:30 a BRC leader will host an orientation session for first timers (required waiver + release form). This involves explaining the route(s), answering any questions, and a warm welcome to the club. :)
After orientation the new folks will rejoin the main group for announcements with the run to follow. -
THE RUN
Following the announcements the 30 minute run (or walk) will start! All of our routes start and stop at Payette.
We run three routes at BRC that change seasonly. You can check them out on Strava using these links: Summer Loop, Summer Out and Back, Winter Out and Back. Our summer routes flip flop week to week during daylight savings months, and we run the single winter route otherwise. -
Post Run
Once we get back from the run, we’ll head into Payette to grab a beverage and hangout!
We’ll occasionally have some fun things on top of hanging out planned for this time, and we’ll announce those through our Instagram.
FAQs
Do I need to sign-up each week?
1
Nope! Just show up ready to move each week, and we’ll take care of the rest. But if you are a first timer, you need to sign our waiver + release form before you run with the group.
Is BRC free?
2
Yup! Our meetups are totally free.
What if I’m not fast enough to keep up on the run? What if I’m a walker instead of a runner?
3
We have the full spectrum of exercisers at BRC. If you run 7 minute miles or if you walk, we have someone for you. All paces are welcome and always will be! We just want you to come move with us.
How can I contact you?
4
You can reach us anytime via our contact page, Instagram, or by emailing us at boiserunclub@gmail.com. We are a small team, so we may take a couple days to get back to you.
How can I stay up to date with what’s going on / new at BRC?
5
We are very active on our Instagram, so we recommend following us there and subscribing to our Channel (link on our profile and below). We use the Channels feature of IG to communicate time sensitive info such as a break from the norm in scheduling, upcoming events, or the rare club meeting cancellation. Our channel is called Boise Run Club Happenings. Once you subscribe you will get updates from BRC straight to your inbox.
